This responsibility has been further clarified by the new EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and, from 1 January 2025, will require even more large companies to report in detail on their ESG measures.
The CSRD not only requires transparency regarding current activities in the areas of environment, social and governance, but also demands an analysis of how these issues influence the company and its development in the long term. For LivEye, this presents an opportunity to position itself as a sustainable partner for businesses. With our mobile and innovative monitoring technology, we create tangible added value for our clients in the implementation of their ESG goals – for example, through the ‘Smart by Day’ option, which reduces CO₂ emissions whilst simultaneously increasing efficiency in project management.

Set specific goals
Throughout 2024, LivEye achieved significant ESG milestones and firmly established its sustainability strategy: ISO 14001 certification was successfully completed in June 2024 and the ISO 9001 quality management system was introduced. In addition, a digital contract register was set up to improve transparency and traceability. On a social level, measures to promote employee wellbeing were implemented: the niloHealth programme was introduced and a company supplementary health insurance scheme was established. In the area of mobility, the vehicle fleet was converted to at least 50% e-mobility to reduce the carbon footprint. These concrete steps impressively demonstrate how ESG is being actively integrated into the corporate strategy.
LivEye is set to continue its sustainable course in 2025 – supported by CSRD reporting, which will lead to mandatory ESG reporting from 1 January 2025. The year will be marked by targeted development across all three ESG pillars:
- Environment: Further reduction of the carbon footprint through the expansion of digital monitoring solutions such as “Smart by Day”, which minimise travel and make efficient use of resources. In addition, there will be increased staff training to educate employees on the resource-efficient operation of the monitoring systems.
- Social: Deepening our commitment to our employees, expanding our wellbeing programme and promoting an inclusive corporate culture. Workshops on inclusion and diversity will be held for all employees – in line with the motto: living together, learning from one another. The focus is on maintaining a positive working environment in the long term. In this context, the use of mental health apps and access to mediation services, psychologists, etc., will also be further expanded to ensure that mental health is supported and promoted. More training will be provided for customers on the safe and responsible use of the systems – particularly in sensitive areas. Continuation of the 12×500 € campaign to effectively support regional projects.
- Corporate governance: Systematic digitalisation of processes. Regular audits and system upgrades to pre-empt potential threats from cyberattacks. A key milestone is certification to ISO 27001, a globally recognised standard for information security management systems (ISMS).

Our “Smart by Day” option is an example of how LivEye can actively support other companies in achieving their ESG goals. This option offers a modern, environmentally friendly solution for reducing CO₂ emissions by enabling project and site monitoring to be managed more efficiently and digitally. During the day, this feature allows for virtual monitoring of construction sites, enabling site supervisors and project managers to track progress in real time. Time-lapse videos can be created via an intuitive online platform, and the construction site can be viewed from various perspectives.
